After investing the time,
effort and resources into the content development of your
product, it’s important for your CDs and DVDs to have the
proper exterior look. There are several options available
when it comes to printing the surface artwork of your
product.
For quick-turn Recordable CDs
and DVDs, we can print directly on the surface of the media
using the
thermal transfer print process, or we can
print directly on the surface of the media using the
photo realistic die-sub print process or
we can print color laser labels and affix to the surface of
the media. For recordable CDs and DVDs we can also pre-screenprint
media prior to duplication. Unlike the other print options,
this requires 5-7 days in advance of receipt of your master
content. Printing directly on the surface of the media is
the preferred process and this can be done quickly and with
an excellent professional look.
For replicated CD-ROMs, the
surface artwork can be screenprinted directly on the surface
of the CD-ROM. We can screenprint using up to 6 PMS colors
or print in four color process.
For replicated DVDs, the
surface artwork can be screenprinted directly on
the surface of the CD-ROM or it can be printed using an
offset print method. The screenprint method can be done
using up to 6 PMS colors and works best with solid PMS
colors. For gradients and four color process surface
artwork, offset printing looks best.
